The RUBI Tier II Advanced Certification Program is designed to elevate practitioners' skills in the implementation of RUBI, as well as build confidence in effectively supporting the unique needs of autistic youth and their families. The Tier II RUBI Advanced Certification Program utilizes a "train the trainer" model, whereby learners will engage with a RUBI Certified Trainer to receive ongoing and tailored support and problem-solving around RUBI implementation with families.
Emphasis in training is placed on high fidelity delivery of RUBI, while also embracing the intervention's family-centered approach to care. In practice, this means providers who engage in the Tier II Advanced Certification Program will learn how to navigate the "flexibility within fidelity" approach to RUBI implementation - meeting families where they are at while engaging in high-quality, high-fidelity RUBI implementation.
Once successfully completed, learners will receive the title "RUBI Certified Practitioner." This Advanced Certification Program enables learners to become RUBI Certified Practitioners, able to implement RUBI to fidelity and serve as an in-house trainer or coach for their practice.

“RUBI Certified Practitioner” is a designation administered by the RUBI Autism Network for practitioners who have successfully completed both Tier I and Tier II training in RUBI and have demonstrated (1) attainment of requisite knowledge about the RUBI program, (2) clinical skill mastery related to implementation of all Core RUBI sessions to fidelity, and (3) competencies around RUBI clinical program development, including the training of other practitioners in the implementation of RUBI.
Upon completion of RUBI Tier II training, the expectation is that a RUBI Certified Practitioner is not only ready to deliver RUBI clinically to a diverse range of families with high fidelity but also can act as an in-house “Train-the-Trainer” at their site of practice. This includes the ability to lead comprehensive in-house training on RUBI principles and strategies for practitioners at their practice site, ensuring adherence to program standards and promoting continuous improvement in practice.
RUBI Certified Practitioners will be posted on the RUBInetwork.org website and can advertise themselves as having the RUBI Certified Practitioner designation.
RUBI Certified Practitioners may only provide in-house support and training within their practice or organization. They may not provide training externally, nor may they attempt to teach or conduct any class, workshop, or training associated with content presented during Catalight Classroom programs.
